Kano destroys 80,000 birds due to outbreak of bird flu

At least 80,000 birds have been destroyed in 45 farms, following the outbreak of avian influenza, commonly known as bird flu.
The director of veterinary services in the state Ministry of Agriculture, Shehu Bawa, stated this on Monday in Kano, calling on poultry traders to stop selling infected birds to unsuspecting customers.
