Beyond the words of mouth and political bragados, One senator who has continued to make big and giants stride silently while working effectively for the development of his own constituency in the Red Chamber of the National Assembly is Distinguish Sen Lekan Musthapa political nomenclature "SLM"
Undoubtedly, blowing trumpets to high heavens over what is his responsibility as lawmaker has never been his style right from his past in any Political office held by him. Unknown to many individuals, Sen Lekan Mustapha has noiselessly facilitated many impactful and laudable projects to Ogun East Senatorial District of Ogun State in just two years in office for the benefits of his constituents which has never been achieved by any Senator in the annals of history in Ogun East Senatorial District, from first republic to this present republic; this is not a gainsaying but laying the truth to bare.

*INFRASTRUCTURAL DEVELOPMENT*
1. Construction of 80 beds federal government specialist hospital at Itanrin, Ijebu Ode. This is the first federal government own hospital in ogun East, to be equiped with modern medical facilities when completed. This impactful & laudable medical facility project facilitated by Distinguish Sen Lekan Mustapha is at 90% completion rate.
2. Facilitation of the ongoing Construction of Mini Stadium in Ijebu Igbo sited on Molusi College compound. This also is the first federal government sports facility in Ogun East. Is at 70% completion rate
3.Sen Lekan Mustapha, is the first Senator and only senator from South West Nigeria not just Ogun state to facilitate a large market Infrastructural projects to single market space of his constituency . A 200 lockup shops & open stalls market projects has been constructed at Oja Oba market, Sagamu township. This project was meant to be constructed at Sabo Market Sagamu to ease the agony of the inferno that happened at Sabo Market but Ogun State Government in her wisdom decided to take charge of that, hence the relocation of the project to Oja Oba Market. This project is completed and now in use by market men and women.
4. Sen Lekan Mustapha facilitated the commencement of a 6.4km of road stretch, erosion control project, which comes with road construction and concrete drainage system along Riverine Community cutting across, Makun Omi - Efinre - Atijere Communities in Ogun Waterside Local Government.
Many community Leaders who witnessed the ground breaking ceremony of projects including the Kabiyesi of Makun Omi, HRH Oba Salam Kazeem and Chief Gbenga Onayinuga applauded the project facilitator Sen Lekan Mustapha as timing and exemplary.
5. Construction of Motunbo street behind TASUED Secondary School ijebu ode, links the road between Igbeba - Awokoya road that linking ijebu ode/ ibadan road ijebu ode. Completed and in use.
6. Olode Street down to Ondo road ijebu ode, completed and in use.
7 .Construction of 4 networking roads that interconnects Ayegbami street, ladeguse street , oke jaga street and odoramusegu, Oke Sopen, Ijebu Igbo. (completed)
8. Ongoing construction of a 8km new virgin road and first time open up of Ilaporu-Ijebu, Oru Ijebu to Japara Quarters, Japara, Ijebu Igbo. This will be another route that links Ijebu Igbo to Ifelodun constituency.
However, the construction of 5 bridges and box culverts along the road has been completed.
9. Sen Lekan Mustapha facilitated the road construction in Sagamu township from oke isote down to ijagba to latanwa to isoku community and ended at owolewa junction, the stretch of the road covered 4 political wards in the Sagamu town, ward 2, ward 7, ward 8 and ward 6. The road is fully equipped with solar street lights. This is the first inner roads Construction to be facilitated to Sagamu LG by any Federal legislator in history of Ogun East. This is a completed project.
10. Ongoing reconstructing of Ijagun Road in Odogbolu Local Government, a road that links ondo road Ijebu Ode from Ore /Benin/ ijebu ode Express way, coming from Tai Solarin Unversity of Education Ijagun to old ondo road.
11. Reconstruction of Oke Alafia road Oke Agbo. Starting from Idi-Aba down to Ven AAO Onasanya's house, Ijebu- Igbo. This road links the Molusi College Road. It is completed and in use.
12. Construction of isoku road linking Olisa road ijebu ode. (completed)
13. Construction of Ijagun /Gbabeto bridge Odogbolu LG
14. Construction of Ogbere/ laibeka bridge
15. Rehabilitation of Adeboye Road - Oru - Ago Iwoye federal road by federal Ministry Of Work And Housing/ FERMA, as facilitated by SLM.

99. Sen Lekan Mustapha facilitated the completion of Infrastructural projects within Nigeria correctional Academy ijebu Igbo. The institution was a baby facility birthed by SLM during his first term as a Senator. It is the first specialized Academy to be established in any 17 States of southern Nigeria. This specialized institution is similar to that of Police Academy in Kano and Nigeria Defence Academy Kaduna.
Hence, this facilitated project by Sen Lekan Musthapa to Ogun State is sited on more than 200 hecters of land. The institution is the first and only federal government higher institution in Ogun East senatorial district presently.
*PHILANTHROPY* , *EMPLOYMENT & EMPOWERMENT*
100. He financially supported the surgical eyes operations of many vulnerable constituents suffered from cataract and glucoma eye diseases
101. As it has become the tradition and an apprarent norms of Sen Lekan Mustapha to help the youths of the state to climb the ladder of success, (a reference to the facilitation of over 600 federal government jobs for Ogun East and Ogun State youths in many federal government agencies in the country in his first term in senate between 2007-2011, the unmatchable feat that is yet to be met by any Senator in South West Nigeria till date.
In continuation of this progressive ideas, Senator Lekan Mustapha has continued the giants stride again by facilitating another job opportunities for 16 youths of ogun east among 24 new officers recruited from ogun state into Nigeria correctional service,(formerly known as Nigeria prison service)
102. He facilitated Jobs opportunity for 14 youths into Nigeria civil defence service and immigration service
103. Sen Lekan Mustapha facilitated job opportunity for 5 of ogun east youths into federal capital development authority (FCDA ) Abuja
Early in March , 2020, The five beneficiaries received their letters of appointment, They are currently in Abuja as federal territory staffs after duely documented
104. SLM facilitated CBN/Nirsal business development loans, range from # 300,000 to #500,000 for 123 people across Ogun East, in order to support their businesses
105. 450 people across 9 LGs in ogun east benefited from FG, survival funds scheme as facilitated by Sen Lekan Mustapha. The beneficiaries were credited, 6 weeks after capturing of beneficiaries profiles at Sen Lekan Mustapha's constituency office, Obalende Ijebu Ode
ACTIVITIES ON THE FLOOR OF THE HOUSE
106. SLM sponsored a bill in senate to give legal backing to Nigeria correctional Academy which was already established in Ogun East to run a degree program for both civilians and correctional officers. The bill has passed second reading in Senate.
107.Distinguish Senator Olalekan Mustapha moved a Motion on the floor of Senate for urgent repair of federal roads by ministry of work and housing across the country and Ogun State, also urged the Senate to call upon the ministry of finance to release the funds for ministry of work to carry out the rehabilitation work on several failed roads and collapsed bridge's across the nation.
108. In his bid to secure lives of constituents of Ogun East district from frequent attack from kidnappers around riverine area. Sen Lekan Mustapha moved a motion on November 6, 2019 for the establishment of Naval Base in Ogun Waterside Local Government Area of Ogun East Senatorial District and also called for deployment of Police Gunboats to affected area in order to make the water ways and its environment more secure for the constituents.
109. On the 30 of January 2020, Sen Lekan Mustapha moved a motion on the floor of the Senate which was immediately approved by the Senate, in which the Ministry of Humanitarian Services and National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) was called upon to immediately spring to action in providing succor to the affected market women and men in Sagamu market. which later resulted into construction of 200 shops and stalls.
110. Oversight of many government Agency and MDGs as Committee Chairman of State & Local Government Affairs.
