The popular Aiyepe Road, Aiyegbami area of Sagamu Local Government is presently in a shamble and deplorable state.

This is the same road that leads to the Sagamu local government Secretariat and divisional police headquarters, Sakura, Offin High School Sagamu and Ajanla Farm (Chivita) Company.

It will be recalled that Hon Ademola Adeyinka Adeniran Sapele who's representing the glorious people of Sagamu II State Constituency Makun, despite not in his jurisdiction had done some palliatives on the said road where it was graded and made accessible and motorable but the heavy downpour during this season has made the road inaccessible again.

The landlord association in the area have also contributed significantly and immensely to the development of the community, their gestures in kind and cash contributed alot as the said road would have been totally destroyed if not for their immense contribution in ensuring that some palliatives were done in the past.

The Residents of Aiyegbami, Sakura, Aiyepe Road, Lalu, Ladejobi communities hereby call on the sitting Chairman, Ogbeni Afolabi Odulate AFO to find a lasting solution at this point in time, for his promise to get the road fixed is taking forever.

Indubitably, the divisional police headquarters was established in the area to protect lives and properties, and curb crimes within the axis, one would imagine how they would quickly or promptly response or intervene incase of any emergency due to the bad state of the road.

The Landlord association in the area stated their displeasure, they pertinently noted that the Residents suffer alot as they become stranded whenever rain falls because no bike rider would dare ply the deplorable road.

It's also important to state that this same road linked both Sagamu and Aiyepe Ijebu, it's about two kilometers from the popular hospital road junction to Offin High School, while it's about four kilometers from the same hospital road junction to Aiyepe Ijebu, a shortest distance to Aiyepe Ijebu from Sagamu.

"Therefore, it's high time we call on Hon. Segun Shitta, the House of Assembly Member, representing Sagamu I State Constituency at the Ogun State House of Assembly and Ogbeni Afolabi Odulate AFO, the incumbent Chairman of Sagamu Local Government and the Ogun State Government to please come to our aid, we are optimistic that their collective efforts would bring a desired solution and results" Aiyepe Road Residents affirmed.

  1. The condition of the road is indescribable. I had to raise my car because I couldn't count the number of times I had visited the panel beater because of leaking silencer.lf you are unfortunate to fall inside one of the ditches covered by rain water, you are in trouble. For Christ's sake, let those who are concerned do something and do it fast, we are tired of doing regular contributions at the mechanics.

  3. Government please help us to look for solution to dis road because sometimes if rain fall the pupils and student don't use to see bike on time in order to go to their various schools. Thank God human being is not a vehicle,if they are, a lot of our body parts would have been changed.
