As Chief (Mrs.) Victoria Olaitan Abiodun, the beloved mother of the Governor of Ogun State, His Excellency Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, clocks 90 years today, tributes have continued to pour in from within and beyond the Gateway State. Among those celebrating the nonagenarian is the former Chairman of AMORAN in Ogun State, Otunba Nurudeen Aina Alowonle, who described her as “a rare gem, a virtuous matriarch, and an epitome of godly motherhood whose life is a shining light to many.”

In a glowing tribute released to mark the occasion, Otunba Alowonle extolled Mama Abiodun’s life of faith, service and fortitude, noting that her journey of nine decades reflects an unwavering commitment to God, family and humanity.

 “Mama Abiodun represents an enduring symbol of grace, humility, and strength. Her remarkable life story is that of a mother who, through prayers, discipline, and hard work, nurtured greatness, not just within her home but across her community,” he said.

He further remarked that the values of integrity, compassion and service that define Governor Dapo Abiodun’s leadership in Ogun State are a direct reflection of Mama’s deep-rooted influence and moral upbringing.

“Behind every great son is a greater mother. The Governor’s composure, empathy, and vision for Ogun State are clear reflections of the values Mama instilled in him from childhood,” Otunba Alowonle added.

Describing the milestone age of 90 as “a divine gift and an uncommon grace,” he expressed gratitude to God for preserving Mama’s life in good health and sound mind.

 “To live nine fruitful decades in wisdom and peace is a testament to a life well spent in the service of God and humanity. Mama’s life continues to inspire generations to live purposefully, love deeply, and lead with integrity,” he said.

Otunba Alowonle joined family, friends and admirers of the Abiodun family in celebrating the milestone, praying for continued strength, joy and divine favour upon Mama’s life.

“On behalf of my family, I felicitate our Mama on this glorious 90th birthday. May the years ahead bring her unending joy, good health and the fulfillment of every prayer she has ever made for her children and generations yet unborn,” he concluded.
