As public schools in Lagos State resume for the second term of the 2015/2016 academic session Monday, January 11, 2016, the State Deputy Governor, Dr Idiat Oluranti Adebule, ‎has commended principals, teachers and school administrators for helping government to implement polices that are bringing positive change in public schools.
In a statement issued from her office Sunday, she urged them to redouble their efforts in the New Year and ensure that there is an improvement in students’ performance in all examinations so that government’s huge investment in education can be justified.
The deputy governor noted that this objective is achievable when teachers and school administrators rededicate themselves to the ethics of the teaching profession; make education interesting and inspiring to their students; inculcate good orientation, ethical and moral values; and encourage students to be hard working and be self disciplined.
