Ahead of July 24 local government elections, the People's Democratic Party Flag Bearer, Omooba Damilare Bello noted that his administration as Sagamu local government Chairman would prioritizes security.

It was noted that Dre has embarked on consultations, meeting different groups, old and young people within Sagamu local government.

"The peaceful co-existence, love and unity we are enjoying and experiencing today in Sagamu is as a result of great job being done by Sagamu Peace Agenda Forum (SPAF) under the Leadership of Otunba Kayode Howells.

"If Sagamu is not peaceful, we wouldn't be here sitting down, it's as a result of the peace that we can facilitate laudable projects and attract many investors where our Youths would be gainfully employed" Dre said

Dre noted during his consultations that most people especially the Youths are in support of his ambition due to his antecedents, great contributions, service to humanity, local and international experiences.

Dre as he's fondly called is contesting for Chairmanship seat in Sagamu local government, he pleaded with youth and urge them not to miss this golden opportunity.

Dre also said, we can’t entrust the governance and mantle of leadership of our great local government in the hands of an inexperienced candidate that will take us back just like what we've experienced over the years.

On his mission and vision as a Local Government Chairman, Dre said his experience from his consultations has shown that the immediate needs of his people are employment and empowerment for the youths, security of life and property and provision of basic infrastructure, including stable power supply, good roads and potable water.

He also advised OGSIEC to ensure that a free, fair and credible elections are conducted, all eligible voters with voter’s cards should be allowed to exercise their franchise during the elections.
