The Residents of Oko Sagamu really appreciated our Royal Fathers, most especially Oba Babatunde Adewale Ajayi, the Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remoland who worked tirelessly in ensuring that the people of Oko live in a conducive environment.

Our profound gratitude also goes to Oba Aminishan, Minister for Mines and Steels, Hon. Ademola Adeyinka Adeniran Sapele, Comrade Segun Sikiru Success, the President, Sagamu Youth Association and Superintendent In Charge for their prompt responses.

A letter was sent to the Correctional Service Center, Sagamu by Comrade Gbenga Ambassador Easy few months ago, calling all Prominent Remo Leaders to come to the aid of Oko Residents.

It is with joyful heart that we announce to you today that the stinking and broken pipes meant for their faeces and urine have been removed today.

However, they are yet to construct the dilapidated drainage in the area, but we are optimistic that the project would be completed soon.

Sagamu

July 14th, 2021

Superintendent In - Charge,

Sagamu Correctional Centre,

Sagamu,

Ogun State.

Dear Sir,

REQUEST FOR IMMEDIATELY REPAIR OR FIX OF DELAPIDATED DRAINAGE SYSTEM AND BROKEN/ LEAKING PIPE AT OFF PRISON ROAD, OKO-SAGAMU

The above subject matter refers,

The Nigerian Correctional Centre, Sagamu is located at Prison Road, Oko Sagamu where Prisoners are kept.

Over the years, there has been several complaints on how the Residents of Oko have been living in uncomfortable and unconducive condition and environment, though part of the complaints were fixed while others are still yet to be fixed.

First and foremost, the d

rainage system constructed by the Correctional Centre is presently in a delapidated stage where the water that is supposed to go through the channels is found littering the street at off Prison Road, the same street that shares a fence with Wesley School II Oko, Sagamu.

Anyone who visits the area would imagine how on earth the people in the area cope with such a messed environment due to the drainage system which is in unpleasant state.

Another worrisome scenario is that of the pipe laid through the same street which channeled the faeces from Correctional Centre, through the street down to the gutter at the Akarigbo Road.

It's pertinent to notify you once again that the pipe is broken, faeces gushing out and littering the street where one could vividly see the faeces along the street.

Another pathetic issue is that of the bad odour which is immediately noticed and perceived at the entrance of the street, a walk through the street would give you an insight where the Residents are fond of closing doors and windows at any point in time the Correctional Centre flushes their faeces, even the passerby along Akarigbo Road do cover their noses often at the exist point of the pipe.

It has gotten to a stage where the Residents could no longer sit down, eat, dine and wine or relax outside their various homes due to bad odour caused by the Correctional Centre.

We would appreciate if you could please come to our aid and promptly help us fix all the aforementioned using your reputable office.

Yours faithfully
