 Tinubu’s Wife Orders Gov. Adeleke To Stop Wasting Time Singing Or She’ll Put Off His Microphone

A mild drama unfolded in Ile-Ife, Osun State, during the 10th coronation anniversary of Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, and installation of Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, as the ‘Yeye Asiwaju Gbogbo Ile Oodua’, on Sunday.

According to a viral video, Mrs Tinubu interrupted Mr Adeleke who was singing before delivering his speech on the podium to address the audience.

As Mr Adeleke started singing, Mrs Tinubu met him on the podium to pass across and information to him. As Mrs turned back, Mr Adeleke continued with the singing, prompting the first lady to return and warn him against time wasting.

“I’ll give you five minutes to conclude your speech. Enough with the music, or I’ll switch off the microphone,” the First Lady was heard telling the governor in a low tone.

The epoch-making event which was attended by traditional rulers, political leaders, and dignitaries from across the South-West and beyond, was organised to formally confer the traditional title on the First Lady in recognition of her contributions to the Yoruba community and the nation at large.
