BREAKING: OGUN: SAGAMU: Missing Corpse At OOUTH Mortuary In Sagamu Finally Found - Management

It was a sad moment for some family members when they discovered that their dead relative whose body was deposited at the Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital, Sagamu, Ogun State, went missing.


Journalists gathered that the family members of the deceased were at the hospital on Friday January 27, 2023 for the retrieval of the remains of the corpse, deposited over four months ago, for burial.


Responding to the development on Monday, April 10, 2023, the management of the OOUTH expressed concern and affirmed that the missing corpse has finally been found.


Chief Medical Director, Dr. Oluwabunmi Fatungase, with some security agencies mostly the department of security services in the state had embarked on thorough investigations since the corpse got missing early this year.


According to the information gathered by SON, the other family had gone to bury a Corpse who wasn't their mother but due to physical resemblance.


The OOUTH Management with the help of security agencies did a through profiling and they got to know that the identity of the Corpse that was burial at Ode Community was still intact at the hospital.


After thorough investigation, they later got to know that the Corpse that was supposed to be taken to Ode was still lying in the morgue.


Our correspondent also gathered that the family of the missing corpse at Ijebu Ode was contacted, after which the Corpse buried was exhumed after some traditional rites on Saturday April 8, 2023.


The missing Corpse family got to know that their mother was the one that was mistakingly burial by the other family as a tag was found on the Corpse's wrist showing the name of the Corpse which was in correlation with what they have on their register at OOUTH.


The two families can now proceed in burying their mothers for the truth has finally prevailed.
