Union Bank of Nigeria Plc customers in Enugu State on Tuesday cried out over their inability to carry out over-the-counter withdrawals since this year.
Some of the customers who spoke with the News Agency of Nigeria complained that the situation had left them stranded as they could not send their children back to school.
One of them, Chidi Nzekwe, told NAN that her children were scheduled to return to school on Saturday but had not done so due to the problem.
Nzekwe said her salary account was domiciled in the bank, adding that she had been saving her children’s school fees hoping that they would go back to school on January 9.
She explained that she went to the bank on January 4 to withdraw some money and was informed that it was undergoing network upgrade.
